Swallows........just a few

 When the Great Blue Herons and the Ospreys were in the middle of building nests a few weeks back, the tree swallows were arriving and boy were they, thousands!
I was mesmerized watching them fly.  Just when I had one in my view finder and thought I knew which direction they were going in, they would twist and go the other way! I really could have stayed for hours watching them.
I also saw my first Eastern Phoebe of the spring that day, sitting quietly on a branch at the edge of the pond.  You would never guess this place was so close to busy roads.
